Make an
impact today
When you choose to give, you become part of something bigger—something powerful.
You're Not Just Funding a Church. You're Planting One.
Leland is one of the fastest-growing communities in North Carolina. New families move in every week, new neighborhoods break ground every season, and more people than ever are asking the questions that faith communities exist to help answer: Where do I belong? Who's actually for me? Is there room for someone like me?
The Grove exists to be the answer to those questions. And right now, in these earliest days, your generosity is what makes that possible.
Why Give to a Church That Doesn't Even Have a Building Yet?
Fair question. Here's the honest answer: this is the moment when your gift matters most.
Established churches run on decades of infrastructure, buildings, and giving history already in place. Church plants run on something different, they run on the people willing to invest early, before there's a building to point to, because they believe in what's being built. That's a bigger act of faith, and it's exactly the kind of faith that gets a church like The Grove off the ground.
Every dollar given right now goes directly toward the work of launching: securing a worship space in southwest Leland, resourcing interest events and Launch Team gatherings, building the ministries that will welcome families, kids, and neighbors who don't have a church home yet. You're not giving to maintain something that already exists. You're giving to build something Leland doesn't have yet, and desperately needs.
Our Story Is Also Your Investment
The Grove is centered in the story of Zacchaeus, a man so hungry to see Jesus that he climbed a tree just to get a glimpse. When Jesus saw him, he didn't just glance up. He stopped, called him by name, and invited himself over for dinner. That one encounter changed everything for Zacchaeus. He gave away half of what he owned and made things right with everyone he'd wronged.
We want The Grove to be a sycamore tree for Leland: a way for people to get a better view of Jesus, even when life, church hurt, or plain busyness has blocked it. Your giving is what plants that tree. It's what turns "someday" into interest events, a Launch Team, and weekly worship in southwest Leland this October.
What Your Giving Makes Possible
A church home for a growing suburb. As Leland grows by the week, families need a place to land that's inclusive, Jesus-centered, and genuinely glad they're there.
A church without a building yet. Your gift covers the real, immediate costs of launching, gathering spaces, materials, event costs, before there's a permanent home to fund it.
A church for people who've been told there's no room. Every gift helps us keep our promise of full inclusion for LGBTQ neighbors and anyone who's wondered if church is really for them.
A church built by its people. Your giving isn't distant. It funds Launch Team meetings, interest events, and the relationships being built one dinner table, one conversation, one Bible study at a time, right now.
Give With Confidence
The Grove is supported by the North Carolina Conference of the United Methodist Church and by Wrightsville UMC, so your giving is stewarded within an established, accountable structure, even as we build something brand new. Every gift is an investment in a real, growing ministry with real oversight behind it.

One Gift Can Be the Start of Something
Zacchaeus climbed a tree because he wanted to see Jesus, and Jesus turned that small act of hunger into a life completely changed. Your gift today, however big or small, can be that same kind of beginning: for you, and for a whole community in Leland that's still looking for a place to belong.
